A Summer of Success!

Summer is a kid’s best friend, no school, more time to relax, no ridged schedules, etc. However, while most kids take that approach to summer break, summer might be the BEST time for improvement. Imagine what productive training can happen without the stress of regular-day issues.

It only takes 21 days to develop a habit, by the end of the summer athletes can have 3 new habits to propel them into the school year. These habits could be positive mantras, 100 push-ups daily, dribble training before 8 am, etc. The tendency is to slack off in the summer, but if used wisely the allotted summer break can work wonders for an athlete. Deliberately focusing and setting goals/objectives can easily improve a young athlete’s game.

Some more examples of habits to focus on this summer are:

  1. 30 minutes per/day on reading motivational books

  2. 20 minutes a day to learn to code

  3. Practicing drills

  4. Upping your stamina

  5. Working on crafting projects.

Anything to keep our kids learning and advancing. This is exactly why we have weekly summer basketball sessions! Sign your kid up today to ensure they are making the most out of their summer.
